Scouting Prospects in 2K
Scouting prospects is so important in the building of a NBA team, but it doesn’t feel that way with 2k Association. The addition and editing of the following would make the scouting process in association mode more real.
Scouting during the Season: The Draft Prospect Cards should include simulated stats as the NCAA and international basketball seasons go on. After scouting, team scouts should come back with the Skills, Traits, Strengths, Weakness, and personality, which change as we continuously, scout our prospects. The NBA.com website in association should have a Draft section where we can see a big board, draft stock, prospect search, mock drafts and headlines who’s coming out whose staying etc. This site would aid the users who don’t take the scouting too serious.
Portsmouth Invitational: It’s a tournament for senior prospects hoping to play their way into the draft. Almost all teams have a representative there scouting. This event occurs in early April. It’s important to add because seniors prospect are important see.
Draft Lottery: The order of the first 14 picks of the Draft is determined. The playoff teams are automatically put in order according to record. This event will occur on May 17th this year.
Chicago Pre-Draft Camp: There is no big problem with the combine from previous 2k games, The top prospects are at this event.
Individual Workouts and Player Interviews: In the teams practice facility, prospects teams feel they can obtain in the draft go through various drills. Being it we run the team in association the interviews are important because when we draft a player we invest time and money, this is where we see the personality of the player.
Draft: I agree with the ideas many others have thought of.
Las Vegas and Orlando Summer Leagues: This is important to add because this is where we can see our drafted players play.
The scouting part of the association is just really important in my mind. Other suggestions.
