ESPN Preseason Top 25

Couple of things I noticed.

1st USC isn't in the top 25.

2nd they have Notre Dame @ 14th. How many years will they put ND in the preseason 25? The past few years now their schedules has been watered down and they still under perform.

  1. USC 'cannot' be ranked anyway, so why bother ranking them? Until their sanctions are overturned they are 'dead in the water'.
  2. As a Michigan fan, I agree. Secretly, Notre Lame is 'America's Team' in college football.

1. I'm a little surprised by FSU's ranking
2. As a ND fan i'm not sure they deserve to be ranked that high. If they're going to be ranked at least put them somewhere in the 20-25 slot.

ND hasn't been ranked in the preseason polls since 09 And before that it was 06 so it's not every year. But anyway I think 14 is too high for ND right now. I myself would put them around 22-23.

Florida state and ND seem high. I'm surprised to see Texas in the top 25 after the season they had last year, although I doubt Texas are going to have two bad years in a row.
