LAST YEARS MEGA-THREAD... http://bit.ly/avEaNi

RATINGS SCALE (UPDATED 7/2/11)
(Check Back after the game launches for a possible revision)
Most teams will not have 3 impact players.
*NEW* All Americans: 75-80 (See Below)
Top (Impact) Players: 73-75 (This does not mean you can only have 3, but I'd say most teams will have 2 guys that fall in this range. App State should have more, Idaho State should have 1 or none.)
FBS Transfers: 74-79 If they've seen playing time on the FBS level rate them on the high end. If they are transferring for the sole reason of getting playing time on the FCS level rate them on the low end. FBS transfers can augment a teams impact players. (They do not need to count as impact guys)
Starters: 65-72 (Average run-of-the-mill starter)
2nd String: 60-64 (Guys that are in the rotation)
Bench:50-59 (Non-factors, special teamers, and guys that only play a few plays a game.)
Fresh: < 53 (Less than 53 ovr, 3 star recruits can be higher)

Program Ratings Scale

Program Prestige:
The highest tier schools should be capped at 3 stars (Nova, App State, Montana, etc.) followed by a bunch of middle of the road schools with two stars, and teams that routinely fall in the bottom of their conference should be one star.
Academic Prestige: Ivy League schools all get an A+. If a school is considered a public Ivy give it an A or A+. There are many of fine academic institutions in FCS so there will see a wide range of scores. Use your own discretion.
Campus Lifestyle: If the school is an a big city, party school, or if it is recognized for having excellent extracurricular programs adjust accordingly.
Coach Experience: Give a bonus of one grade if the Coach has experience as an FBS Head Coach/NFL coaching experience; or a full letter grade for exp as an NFL HC,
No exp: D+
Less than 2 years exp: C-
3 years: C+
5 years: B
7 years: B+
10 years exp: A
Coach Prestige: If the coach has been part of a successful team, as a player or coach they should be highly ranked. Also if they had respectable careers as players adjust accordingly.
Championship Contender: Bonuses should be awarded to schools when they have been in FCS playoffs within the past 3 years or are highly ranked. The highest available score is a C+ and should be given to schools like App State, Eastern Washington, Northern Iowa, and William & Mary.
Athletic Facilities: Should be no higher than C with 95% of schools falling in the D/D+ range.
Pro Potential:
This will factor in current NFL players, past NFL players, and the level of their success. I'm gonna leave it up to the creators discretion and try not to abuse it. (Non-NFL players may have a small impact: UFL, AFL, AFL2, CFL, etc.) I'm going to cap this at C+.
Program Stability: I'll cap this at B+ and that should only be given to schools with a streak of winning seasons longer than 5 years. Programs with head coaching changes should see a penalty.
Program Tradition: Capped at B+, and should be given to schools with a repuation of winning, putting out quality players, have a name that college football fans know. (B+ teams include App State, Eastern Washington, Montana, Delaware, etc.)
Fan Base:
This is not an exact science so we'll just go off of attendance figures.
Avg attendance 20,000+: B
17,000-19,999: C+
12,000-16,999: C
10,000-11,999: D+
lower 10,000: D

TEAM DIRECTORY (OS USER | GT or PSN Name)Yes, it is possible to download teams created on the opposite platform. (360 teams to a PS3, vice versa) You need to navigate the search results on your console to find the roster the matches the team created. Which is why each team is linked of to the teambuilder website here.

In order to make sure teams get done if you haven't posted a team you claim within a week I'll take your name off the hook. Reputable guys like mrlux, ncoffey, cparrish, TheLeviticalLawKid3, etc. have all earned the right to claim teams far in advance. They all worked on the project last year and have proven that when they claim a team they'll actually finish it.

Re: The FCS Project/Team Directory v2.0

Nice work on the first post! Those top 25 polls and All American projections are going to make it a lot easier to build the teams and the rosters. The one question I have is does anyone have a good way of making frosh under a 53 rating without making them all have 40 awareness?

I will have mine updated (uniforms/stadiums/fields/etc.) and named on Tuesday and will complete ratings before the game releases.

Re: The FCS Project/Team Directory v2.0

Are the standards going to be more consistent than last year and follow the game, such as no athletic facilities are below C in NCAA 11, championship contender was never below D+ I believe, etc... I'm a stickler for accuracy and realism and I know a standard was tried last year and then teams were all over the place.

If so, I definitely am going to invest in the 120 slots so I can have a ton of these teams to use throughout the year.
