B1G Discussion

What are your guys' thoughts on the upcoming season? I think it will be Wisconsin vs. Nebraska in the Conference championship game with Wisconsin winning and making a second straight trip to Pasedena.

Knowing Wisconsin we will lose that one game that we shouldn't have, or just one good game. It will be interesting to see how Nebraska does in their first Big Ten season. But I think they will do alright. Ohio State will probably have a tougher year with the loss of Pryor and still losing arguably their next best 4 starters for the first five games. Along with losing Tressel and bringing in a new coach I don't know how they will do.

I don't see Hoke doing anything special in Ann Arbor and Joe Pa's lions aren't strong enough to contend. Also, I will be surprised if Michigan State can do as well this year as they did last.

Anyways, what are your guys predictions for the 2011-2012 Big Ten season?

I'd be surprised if it's any other matchup. I originally had Nebraska winning the conference, but with Russell Wilson going to Wisconsin, they're likely the favorite now.

Re: B1G Predictions

Wisconsin and Nebraska will be the most likely matchup in the Championship game. I will give the edge to Wisconsin in that matchup right now. It depends a lot on how quickly Wilson can adjust in Wisconsin. The October 1st matchup should be a great game.

My darkhorse team is Northwestern. Missing Ohio State and Wisconsin helps. If Dan Persa can stay healthy I can see the Wildcats having a strong year.

Re: B1G Predictions

I'm gonna throw in my usual vote for Iowa as a darkhorse

My standings look very similar except I would switch Iowa and Michigan State. And also I have Wisconsin over Nebraska in the CCG.
