Recruits & Broken Promises...

If I made a recruit a promise, and then find out his rating is real low, and I'm like 10 guys over the cut limit... If I cut him does that still count as a broken promise? Or does that not count because he's not on the team for me to break the promise?

Has anyone ever came across this dilemma?

So if I promise no redshirt as a freshman and then just cut him, it counts as a broken promise? Damn, never realised this.

Yep, I just noticed this... So it seems that if you promise somebody something, but they don't make the final cuts to get on the team, then that promise doesn't count.
