Re: HoosierDaddy's Madden NFL '12 Sim Sliders (V1)

Bears @ Lions (me)

OK just finished a game with these sliders. I forgot to change the quarter length and play with 7 minutes. So I would imagine if you multiplied my stats by 1.7 you would get a rough idea of what a 12 min. quarter would look like. My stats will be with 7 minute quarters.

About the game. It was 3-3 all the way till about 3 minutes left in the 4th. I scored on a legitimate drive later on to make it 10-3. Then in classic Madden fashion the Bears marched down the field like the secret Jags or Panthers teams you could unlock in like Madden 95 and tied the game up. I eventually won in overtime 13-10.

Total Offense
Lions - 187
Bears - 152

Passing
Stafford - 8/29, 167yds (79yd TD Pass), 1TD, 2INT, Rating 33.8
Cutler - 11/23, 127 yds, 1TD, 1 INT Rating 61.3

Rushing
Best - 14 Att., 61yds, 4.3 Avg 0TD, 2Fumb(not lost, one overturne),
Forte - 16 Att., 34yds, 2.1 Avg 0TD
Cutler - HAd 23 yds on 2 carries

Recieving - Wont list all out
Burelson - 4rec, 117yds, 1 TD
Pettigrew - 2rec, 16 yds
Johnson Jr. - 1rec 22yds - 2 Drops

Knox - 4rec, 95 yds, 1 TD
Forte - 3 rec, 6 yds
Bennet - 2 rec 21 yds

Defensive Leaders
Tackles - Z. Follet (6)
Sacks - Suh (2)
Int - Levy (1)

Tackles - Adams (6)
Sacks - Peppers (3)
Int. - Jennings (1), Bullocks (1)

Thoughts;

It was very difficult to pass at times during the game. Stafford had the "Paranoid" indication on his cold streak for most of the game. The Bears were in my backfield almost every pass. I would suggest increasing the User Pass Block. As well as the User WR Catching. Also, the run for the CPU was non-existent. Yes the Lions have an awesome line now but Forte hardly made it past the line of scrimmage. I may leave those as is. they seem legit ratings. Maybe my defense is just that good.

Other than that they played pretty good as a starting set of sliders. I believe I have used yours in the past, so I will stick with these and adjust them throughout etc.

Thanks

About to pop these in with just a couple little tweaks to my preference. Oakland (CPU) at Kansas City (Me). I'll let ya know! I've enjoyed your sets in the past a lot.

Awesome game! It really had that NFL feel to it. I was able to control the game throughout, but made some just critical, critical mistakes down the stretch. I've got to tighten up in the red zone as I started to force the ball down there. Really loved the feel of these, it was my first game using a higher threshold. Overall, I was pleased. It felt like the deep ball was still there, it just has to be used sparingly. Heyward-Bey hit me on a big pass with a minute left to set up a DMC TD. Brutal result, really deserved the win!

EDIT: switch the team heading for individual stats.

Re: HoosierDaddy's Madden NFL '12 Sim Sliders (V1)

I have been racking my brain trying to come up with some good auto sub sliders, how are yours looking? I have noticed that a lot of people on these boards like to see many substitutions and I just don't like see players being subbed in and out constantly during the game. I like to have a nice rotation but not overdone like many setting I have used.
