Longest game ever?

Just played a game on NCAA 11, which has to be shared. It was the first game of a dynasty; LSU (me) vs North Carolina (CPU)

After leading 14-0 at half time, my offence struggled with the pressure brought by the NC defence. Game ended 14-14 and we went to overtime.

1st OT: Touchdown and extra point each; 21-21
2nd OT: Touchdown and extra point each; 28-28
3rd OT: Field goal each; 31-31
4th OT: Touchdown each and both failed on 2 point conversion; 37-37
5th OT: They fumble and I recover. I get the ball, (and am VERY conservative), and miss a 38 yard field goal; still 37-37
6th OT: I start and score on the first play and get the 2 point conversion; 45-37. They score a touchdown, go for 2, and I stop their running back half a yard short of the goal line, and I win 45-43.

It was an amazing game - 6 overtimes!!

So this has got me wondering, has anyone else had a similar or even longer game?

Back in NCAA 2005 or 2006, me and my friend went to 5 or 6 OTs. I was Michigan, he was Texas Tech. Whichever OT it was, he scored first, and I knocked his 2-point conversion down. I scored, and my receiver caught it in the back of the endzone. After a replay, it looked like he was out of bounds, but I didn't care lol.

Arkansas beat Kentucky 71 to 63 in a 7 overtime game back in 2003.

You're right, but along that same vein, Arkansas had two 7 OT games in 2007.

I think I had a 6 OT game in NCAA 08.

Me (WMU) beat Wazzou (CPU) in 5 OT.

On I think worth noting I had was:

WMU- 23
TCU- 20
4 Overtime
10-10 at the end of regulation.
10-10 after 1 OT
13-13 after 2 OT
20-20 after 3 OT
23-20 after 4 OT

I had a 98-90 game that lasted 6 OT's. I was the OC for Akron taking on the Oregon Ducks in the Rose Bowl. Number 3(me) vs. number 6(ore). Perfect season on the line for me. I could not stop them. All five OT's we scored td's and the 2 point conversions. Sixth overtime with my backup qb and third string rb, I ran a swing pass to my rb, he broke the first tackle and then fumble... Season over!!! That freshman rb got cut the next yr.

2002 at Tennessee Arkansas lost 41-38 in 6 ots
2003 at Kentucky Arkansas won 71-63 in 7 ots

in 2007 Arkansas beat #1 LSU in Baton Rouge 50-48 in 3 ots

In real life FAMU had a 6 overtime game versus Hampton on national television in 1996...BEFORE the new OT rules...the game lasted almost six or seven hours...we ended up winning 59-58

BCU had a 9 overtime game in the late 90's...I don't think that game ended until about 2 or 3am.

As far as NCAA 12 in concerned, I played an amazing one overtime game...my opponent got the ball first and scored on two plays. I get the ball the ball and score a touchdown, but I like to gamble, so I went for two and got it...I won 25-24

On NCAA 2012 my longest is 4 OT's, as a DC.
NCAA 2009 I had a 3 OT game.
NCAA 2006 on PS2 I had a 5 OT game I won 3-0. (Horrible offenses, great defenses)

That's right, my bad. I must have been confused by all the OT games in the SEC that year. Arkansas-LSU 3OT, Kentucky-LSU 3OT, Kentucky-Tennessee 4OT, Georgia-Alabama 1OT, Auburn-USF 1OT, Auburn-Clemson 1OT, Tennessee-South Carolina 1OT. It was a crazy season all over the country, but I think the SEC set the record for most OT games. I know Auburn's games weren't conference games, but they involved an SEC team.

I had a game ECU (me) vs. Marshall (CPU) that went into 3OT at Marshall.

1OT: Both score TD's.
2OT: Both score TD's.
3OT: They score.

Marshall wins it 44-38. #1 on my ESPN Instant Classics.
