Is there or will there be an option for 66 games?

I'm going to purchase the game once the roster updates with rookies are available. What I was wondering is, has anyone heard of a patch to allow you to play 66 games in year one, and 82 the rest of your association? Or is that possible now? I like to mirror real life. Thanks.

Good question, I'm curious if they can make changes to associations CBA to mirror the new one.

In the past I believe there were options for 82, 56, and 29 games.

I would think its not going to implemented in, the current structure doesn't have a 66 game format and it's not 2k fault. I would like to see it but how would it work.

I would be really disappointed if not.

On the other hand, all sig jumpers for my favorite team are off, and i'm still playing the game and enjoying. Which means that disappointment will probably won't be too permanent.

But even with that, wasn't that the setup for the entire run of your association? Could you change it after year 1? Because I don't think you can/could.

no there is no option and there won't be an option. They had no way of knowing when the lockout would end, what the schedule would be and all of that so can't blame them for that. You have the option of 82, 56 or 29 games. And no you can't change it after the first year.

How do you know they won't patch this in? Seems simple enough to me.

I was just coming on here to ask this question. It is indeed a very good one. I would also be pretty disappointed if they didn't add it in through a patch as an option. But I will just be glad to have rookies added so I can finally start my franchise.

I really hope they can patch in the 66 game schedule for the first year of Association. I don't think it would be too complicated to do.

they patch that in
then they would have to patch everything so that every season after that could be 82 games

patching that would give the ability to change the amount of games in a season

patch after patch after patch

Not going to happen.

Patches are designed to correct and tune certain aspects of the game; not to implement new features.

And it is equally unlikely that they would patch in aspects of the new CBA because, well quite frankly it is too complicated to do so and not worth the effort.

i think they going to have to do patch by patch because of lockout. its a sim game so i expect a 66 game schedule
