Season mode vs Franchise Mode

I play franchise mode, but I am curious what season mode doesn't have that franchise mode has that we consider necessary?

Re: Season mode vs Franchise Mode

I can't go into too much detail as I don't have a whole lot of experience with either mode but Season is basically Franchise light. As of The Show 11, the main differences were that you did not have to deal with finances in season mode and there were no minor leagues either. I believe you had a 40-man roster year round.

The most important thing to know, and what many people might not actually know is that Season mode in this game is not just one season as the name might suggest.

I hope someone else can chime in and give more detailed information. I'm not the biggest baseball fan but with the Vita I can now knock at least one game a day while commuting so I'm pondering whether to go with season mode with 82-games seasons or take the franchise plunge.

I'm finding the same stuff as you said. You also deal with budgets rather than incomes. This appeals to me.

Franchise-lite is a good description on the whole, but you're still limited to an active roster of 25. There is a Triple A team, but it works as more of an inactive list or reserve roster. There is a team budget, draft, FA, retirement, progression/regression and trades.

Re: Season mode vs Franchise Mode

Holy cow! I'm glad I saw this thread. I always thought Season mode was a single season only. This might be a life saver for me. A shorter season length plus not quite as much roster management appeals to me. Franchise mode is awesome but I just don't have the time to get through multiple seasons. Once again, thanks SCEA for giving us options, options, options!!!!
