Look at what the Infinity Engine/Connected Careers for Madden has caused now...

For those that haven't checked out the Madden forums, it was confirmed that you cannot edit rosters before or during the CCM (Franchise, Superstar), you can effectively only use manually edited or downloaded rosters in a "play now" session. Wow.

I was pretty disappointed when it was announced that NCAA didn't have the Infinity Engine, but right now I am ELATED that it didn't get it this year. Could you imagine NCAA without the ability to edit players whenever the hell we want for Dynasty or Road to Glory.

Maybe the NCAA developers knew before hand that gettin the new engine would mean not being able to edit rosters and advised Cam Weber not to roll it out in NCAA because they knew the NCAA community would basically call for their heads if editing players was taken out.

Basically what I'm sayin, is that I'm damn glad NCAA isn't in Maddens shoes right now.

Meh, not that big of a deal. Madden actually has somewhat accurate rosters where as NCAA's rosters look like an elementary school kid put them together. I mean this could be because they don't want to be sued bit who knows. If those are real accurAte NCAA rosters I would like to know how much college football the guys that put those together watch.

Madden preorder cancelled. I am going to wait and see what type of results come forward with regard to this new physics engine, although, after playing the demo for NCAA, I am not completely convinced some type of physics engine hasn't already made it's way into NCAA.

Definitely would have been bad if the community was unable to edit rosters though... I probably would have sought a bomb shelter had that happened.

Perhaps it was a placebo effect, but I thought this exact thing while playing last night. Glad you said that.

I don't know this for sure, but I'd be willing to bet that the "Connected Careers" feature is the cause of this, not the Infinity Engine.

Yeah, I know it's crazy and a lot of guys may balk at it (didn't mean to HiJack your thread OP) but in a lot of comparisons I have done between my observations from the demo and Madden 13 live game play videos, there are some interesting similarities with the physics for both games.

This leads me to believe NCAA 13 was implemented with some type of physics engine. Infinity engine- LITE maybe

Re: Look at what the Infinity Engine has caused now...

What would the Infinity engine have anything to do with this?

Although this isn't a good thing, at all. So if another Demarco Murray comes out to terrorize the league or Andy Dalton comes down to Earth, we won't be able to start a Franchise in say November and see it reflected?

I guess it means that I can start a franchise in August and not worry about things changing. Thank god this isn't a lock out year huh?
