Seb170455's CAP/SIM Twitter Minnesota Wild Dynasty NHL 12

Seb170455's Interactive CAP / Minnesota Wild NHL12 Dynasty

GM: Jo Loonstra

GM Skill Level: Hard
Difficulty: All-Star
Sliders: Tazer's sliders (with tweaks)
Period Lenght: 8 minutes
GM Firing: On
Salary Cap: On
Starting: After draft
Rosters: adjusted by my self.

I will sim all of my games. I will try to do 10 games stat updates on the Wild, the NHL and our inserted NHL Pros. The season 2011 updates will be kept to a minimum, so we can go to the draft 2012 where we all be drafted. (Please don't mind my bad English)

Re: Seb170455's CAP/SIM Twitter Minnesota Wild Dynasty NHL 12

The Minnesota Wild are a hockey club based in St. Paul, Minnesota, United States. They are members of the Northwest Division of the Western Conference. This franchise was founded in 2000, becoming the first NHL franchise in Minnesota since the Minnesota North Stars moved to Dallas in 1993. They lost their first game, 3–1, to the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim and recorded their first win against the Tampa Bay Lightning five games later. The Wild play at the Xcel Energy Center. In the 2002–03 NHL season, the team made its first playoff appearance, and made a surprising run to the Western Conference Finals, where they were swept by the Ducks. The Minnesota Wild had 3 playoff appearances and won 1 Division title.

You're born Wild, not manufactured!!

St.Paul, I hastily got in my car and went to XCel Energy Center to witness a press conference. There were some rumours, but the reason for this hastily called press conference was cloudy to me. In the car I was guessing it would concern a big trade involving either franchise players or 1st round draft picks or free agency news. But it was more stunning then I imagined.
At the XCel Energy Center it was already crowded. At the desk there were GM Chuck Fletcher, coach Mike Yeo and owner Craig Leopold. Craig Leopold started to greet everybody and than went on and gave us the news. I was stunned. That Fletcher and Yeo were there was really unbelievable. Leopold told us that he was forced to fire Fletcher and Yeo. The reason for their dismissal was a real mindblower. That those two were even there, proofs these guys have guts. When you get fired for something like this, most people in their situation would take the first plane and get out of the country to avoid the confrontation with the media. Fletcher and Yeo choose not to do so. Heroes.
Leopold told us, that a KHL team (rumours say SKA St.Petersburg) contacted him to allow talks with Fletcher and Yeo, where they would try to pursuade them to leave the Wild and join their KHL team. Leopold told this Russian businessman that these two are not for sale and he did not allow any talks. Fletcher and Yeo secretly (sounds very KGB like) had meetings with this KHL team. Leopold was told by an undisclosed source of these meetings and had no other options then to dismiss both Yeo and Fletcher.
Yeo had nothing to say and Fletcher confirmed Leopold's statement. Fletcher had only one thing to say. He thanked everbody who did support him these few years and added a few kind words for the fans. He said: "I can say only this; You're born Wild and not manufactured. You are the real deal. Thanks for the good years."
Leopold ended this, telling us that an GM and coach will be appointed soon. This will be a matter of days. Will this be too hasty? I hope these guys that will be the new leaders of this club are born Wild and not manufactured!

Another late night press conference. This time Craig Leopold had a different look at his face. He was smiling and had a calm relieved gaze. Next to him was an unknown man. Leopold started to tell everybody about his search for a new GM and that he found his man. This man was sitting besides him. "As owner of the Minnesota Wild, I am proud to announce our new General Manager. Our new GM will be Jo Loonstra."
This dark horse of Leopold has be the man who will lead the Wild to win the Stanley Cup. Loonstra has worked in the KHL, DEL and the small Dutch hockey league (so small it has no name). Loonstra did not make any bold statements. Nothing to be mentioned here. Loonstra will have some issues he has to adress. One of them is to find a headcoach. Rumours are he already has his coach in mind. We will hear this in the next late night press meeting.

Re: Seb170455's CAP/SIM Twitter Minnesota Wild Dynasty NHL 12

In last nights meeting, the members of the press were given the opportunity to meet the new headcoach of the Minnesota Wild. GM Jo Loonstra announced the hiring of Mark "Magic" Johnson. As a former Minnesota North Star he is familiar with the city and his fans. He has coaching experience at other levels of hockey. Loonstra and Johnson will try to make the playoffs. Loonstra and Johnson said that it was not a necessity.

(Next up: the CAP Pro Players and a Minnesota Wild roster)
