I have had the game since the 4th of July and from the time that I have spent playing and checking out what is new I just have to say that it is not much different gameplay wise than Ncaa 12. The changes that they have told us about are there like the footwork for the qb’s the ball trajectory, and all the cool pass catching animations. The game is still fun but I personally am not impressed. The running is the same , the blocking is the same, and the tackling is the same. I am an online Dynasty person and hope that they were able to fix the transfer failed error or this game will be a complete fail to me. Still a good game but simply put IMHO it could be a whole lot better.
they added facemasks but no revo speed 2 bar
they added new player head models ,they look worse than before no new hair lengths the artwork on player faces and hair is atrocious..they like colored the guys neck his hair color really weird man...shm
still the ankle socks
graphics look a bit better or different cant really tell...now on to gameplay
oh yea commentary is improved a bit
so far not so good
Passing: Way harder, but not a bad thing. The trajectories are very nice and make the passing much much better. Passing is fun and enjoyable finally and not so stale. I seen some wide open drops, but it seemed realistically. Deep balls seem to be easy still but maybe sliders will fix that? Catch animations are a nice touch.
Rushing: Smoother, but the same as last year. The juke seems to be better (at least to me) Not much else to say really. Did not try any options so no idea how that is yet.
Defense: I raised the QB ACC (CPU) and it seemed to make smarter passes and actually use the right touch, not lob/bullet everything. Read and react is nice. Seen no physic DBs nor Super LBs. Tackling seems to flow well. Seems CPU matches up to what formation you are in and does not set up according to run/pass as before.
KR/PR: Blocking is deff improved. The CPU actually almost ran a KR back on me, was nice to see. Took holes, did not break one tackle so it was a realistic return.
Graphics: First, The jaggies seem to be gone on PS3. The field looks a lot better. The graphics are better than the demo, but still could be better.
Commentary: Basically the same, seen some excitment, crowd noise is better, but still not totally college football material.
Short review, but as another said..
If you did not like 12', do not pick up 13'. If you enjoyed 12' but had some problems with passing, dynasty, etc. then you will deff enjoy 13'.
I would give it a 7.5/10 (That is good in my book)
Just played my first game, Northwestern (me) vs Oklahoma (at Northwestern)
Everything default, AA diff
I lost 35-14. Threw 3 picks, was sacked twice. Had 71 rushing yards on 22 attempts. CPU wemt 7-7 passing for 141 yards, 91 rushing yards on 17 attempts.
I honestly felt like it played a pretty clean game of football. The bottom line is, the problems that people have that are always there every year are still there (movement, blocking) but the game felt pretty smooth. I was burned deep on a cover 3 play call which I will just chalk up to OU having better players than NU.

That was just from one game, and the CPU only called like 3 or 4 option plays on me the whole game, 2 of which went right to my defender.
Also, when I tried to run an option play of my own, I got this weird play where the QB threw an abysmal pitch and the ref blew the play dead as soon as I picked up the fumble:
playing a quick game..USC vs Miami. Just showed Miami's coach on the sideline after I scored and he's wearing a suit! Pretty cool. Sound is better once you turn it up to 100 and the commentators down, game plays smoother then the demo imo.

Already saw two of those option interceptions myself.
I'm actually pretty pleased with the game overall after a cursory glance, but hopefully the cpu option ai is something that can be addressed in a title update.
I only see one style of dreads and it is the very long dreads and only medium skinned players seem to have that option, no dark or light person had a dread model head. Might have to do with the height and or weight of the player I guess. Also no long hair for white players either, none of them go passed the neck line at all.
