"Download Roster" Doesn't Appear

After selecting Roster Sharing and then Download rosters at the top of the friends list I don't ever see a Download Rosters. I can only view my entire friends list.

I have seen other people have had the same problem as well but are never given an answer as to what is wrong. This also happened to me in last years version.

Does anyone have an answer as to why this is happening?

I am having the same issue on Xbox 360. When I access the option to download roster, I only see a list of my friends and no option to enter another gamertag. I have not changed any settings and am connected to the internet with a xbox live gold membership.


Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

Look above the top guy on your friends list. It says download rosters. hover over it and press A

I understand that is where is "should" be, but its not listed. There is only a list of my friends and no option that says "Download Rosters". I will post a screenshot later today.

Lol you can only download rosters from your friends, or you can enter a gamertag to get it from. You're not getting the rosters from EA, you're getting the rosters from other users.

The answer is simple. Your Xbox 360 or PS3 Privacy Settings are blocking you from downloading user generated content, so the option doesn't show up at all.

I had this happen way back in 09 and had to go into my profile and set all of the 'User-Generated Content" Privacy blocks to "off" or "Everyone" That should fix your issue. When in doubt, it's normally your profile settings in the dashboard.

(If you're under 18, your parents did this to you when your box was first set up, probably because they didn't realize what "User-Generated Content" meant, and left it disabled. You'll be needing their password to get in and switch it, so be nice to them, and good luck trying to explain to them that that setting is for NCAA Rosters, and FIFA Creation Centre, and Forza 4 cars, etc. To most older people on the internet, "User-Generated Content" is a secret codename for porn.)

That was it. I had "Member Content" set to friends only. Thanks for your help. Now time to start Dynasty!
