I don't think anyone will find it until Thursday. Some guy posted 2K13 on Ebay and under the question section someone asked if it was real or not and if the person actually had the game and he said yes. Then I looked at the delivery estimate and saw that it would be delivered between October 1st-5th lol. The bidding actually went passed $67 already lol.

I ended up pre-ordering from Amazon so that I could have the all star weekend, however if I'm able to snag it on thursday or friday I'll just sell my preordered copy to a friend.

i'll be in san jose/the bay area over the weekend. normally i know where to go in socal, usually friday evening, but if anyone from up north could point me in the right direction of any sj/bay area spots, i'd appreciate it.

i scored gears of war 2 early at a 7-11 years ago. i'd read the tip somewhere online, tried it out at my local place, and it totally worked (to my amazement). i haven't gone back to that well since then. i think it was around when they first started carrying games, so i just assume they're more aware of what they're not supposed to sell now.

btw, i just love the RUSH of buying early. it's one of the closest things i have to crack (assuming that rush is similar!).

It seems 2k gets them to ship as late as possible, although I'm sure there's a cutoff date in order to get it to retailers on time.

Yep. Its not just 2K doing that these days, its done by most developers to avoid having to deal with folks getting it early. I used to get games a week early, now at best the day before the release date.

There's gotta be a cutoff date, otherwise they'd be risking the shipments missing RD right?

The way it goes, it seems like they send most of the shipments out around the weekend, so they arrive Friday-Saturday... some stores will get them quickly, some won't.

I'm gonna check my one spot (in Long Beach ) on Friday or Saturday if I have free time. I'll keep you guys updated if I do hear that they have it.
