How to get the wind at your back for 2nd and 4th quarter...

Hey guys,

So I haven't seen a thread telling how to get the proper wind when you are selecting at the coin toss.

If you want the wind at your back for the 2nd and 4th quarters, you have to pick the selection that the arrow is pointing more towards...

Sounds kinda confusing, here's an example.

I think the top selection is Defend Left. If the arrow is pointing more UP, choose the top option. If the arrow is pointing more DOWN choose the bottom selection. The wind arrow will say I'm wrong during the game, but as we all know, it's backwards in the game, and you WILL actually have the wind at your back. It works every time for me, so I hope that helps.

I think the wind direction arrow is on a compass style set up, where if it is pointing straight up, the wind is blowing north. If you defend left (which I think is the TOP option), you will be defending North, so for the first quarter, the wind will be in your face.

It's hard to explain, but if you get it, it works.

Defend Left - Arrow Down, Defend Right - Arrow Up. I'm pretty sure Defend Right is on top, but I will have to check when I get home.

You're right, I just checked and defend right is the top. So if the arrow is pointing more up, defend right.

lol, at first people might think that is a stupid question, but you are absolutely right lol.

I haven't noticed either way whether the ai is kicking into the wind (going by arrow instead of actual wind) on long field goals....so je ne sais is my answer.
