i love pure analog. tried pulse for one day last year, but came right back to it. Love the system.
Ya. I tried pulse pitching on veteran, and I think I did better with analog on all star lol.
Feels sorta like wasted controller if I don't use analog sticks, and feels so much more like you're throwing the pitch than just pressing a button at the right time like we see with classic or pulse pitching.
Same goes for hitting. I like analog hitting more than something like zone or other types of hitting.
I love Pure Analog. By far the best control system there is. But everyone's going to tell you that only their scheme gives the best results, and that's frankly not true. People just have preferences. You won't really get much out of trying to apply someone else's opinion to your own game, or your life, for that matter.
Yesterday I was messing around with Analog in practice mode (with Yovani). I was having all kinds of trouble with his 12-6 CB. Like, it wouldn't break at all. The Slider was OK, but whenever I threw the Curve, there was no break, and it just stayed up, going different directions.
I'm gonna get back on tonight after the WBC/NBA games, and see if I can't iron out what I was doing wrong.

When you're bringing the stick back up try doing it slightly quicker and firmer as if you're really throwing the curve and trying to make it break. Also make su you hit that line because if you go back up even slightly too soon the meter is gonna read it as you want the pitch higher and it's gonna hang. Last, if you keep having problems hanging them then just start your ball marker lower to compensate. Hope this helps.
Pure analog is my favorite, but this year I'm trying classic because I can hide all of the HUD items, so it's just really cool to see absolutely nothing on my screen while I'm pitching or hitting that I wouldn't see on TV.

I Love Pure Analog pitching, been using it for years now... Best way to pitch IMP since you are simulating a windup stretch n arm motion with the analog.... It's fun!!!

I've always thought a pure analog system could pull this off nicely. The meter isn't really necessary if the game just made it so we had to push upward at the same time the ball was being released. It would be challenging because each pitcher's delivery and release point is different.
