Defense Anchor: Is it the key to TRUE defense?

The title says it all. I challenge Pacers users to begin using this team in online ranked games. Roy Hibbert was given the Defensive Anchor signature skill (rightfully so) which helps "boost" the defensive attributes of the team.

I just want to confirm that I'm not going crazy. It feels like that on-the-ball defense is tighter (aka very little sliding), and I SWEAR I'm seeing new defensive contest/contact animations underneath the rim. One of the things that frustrated me the most about playing online was how the elite teams' (Lakers, Heat, Knicks, Thunder) players would slice through my defense like hot butter and there's no paint contact; HOWEVER, I could make the SAME moves, and my players would get breathed on by the defense and be forced into unnecessary shot changing animations.

Since the Heat, Lakers, Knicks, and Thunder users had someone with the Defensive Anchor signature skills since Day 1, they probably won't know what I'm talking about. Pacers users will be probably be able prove/disprove my suspicion since Roy Hibbert will be the only player to be given the signature skill after the release date.

Thanks for the update. Too bad I don't have that in my association.

Didn't realize that they took Granger back out.

I do agree with you. You can work around it to some degree but it's a challenging team to use at least the way I use them.

i dunno if its a difference. played a kobe user who forced his way into the paint where CPU hibbert was waiting and he still was finishing and 1 contact layups. mad they took Granger from me again. his onball D was nice against the stars.

Somehow I'm always using Hibbert in myteam . His so hard to get him to block shots and I get maybe 12 boards with him and 15-16 with any other centers.

I can't wait to see what he does with defensive anchor
