Progressive lighting?

Anyone seeing progressive lighting? Seems like during night games at least the sun never goes down. In fact the sky doesn't seem to change at all.

Re: Progressive lighting?

I thought I was the only one to notice this, day games also don't seem to get darker either.

Re: Progressive lighting?

Just played a dynasty game. Late afternoon start....shadows kept stretching across the field. By the fourth quarter, it was dusk and the lights were on.

Re: Progressive lighting?

Same problem here bro. Night games never get as night as they should be...the sun is still usually in the sky even in the 4th quarter of an 8 PM game.

It starts off with the sun firmly in the sky.

And while it does progress, this is what it looks like in the 4th quarter, a simulated 3 hours later.

As opposed to what FSU vs NC State early last year looked like in the 4th.

It seems as if the right looks are in the game, they are just assigned to the wrong timeslots. The 7 PM lighting/look should be for the 4PM/afternoon timeslot and the 9/10PM lighting/look should be for the 7/8PM/evening timeslots.

Re: Progressive lighting?

It depends on the stadium and time of day. Its very evident at Lane Stadium in Blacksburg. Ive also seen it happen at Oregon as well.

Re: Progressive lighting?

Just played in the Rose Bowl. At the final gun, it was still sunny. Pretty lame. One of the classic traits of the grand daddy of them all is that it kicks off in daylight and ends under the lights. Immersion killer.

Re: Progressive lighting?

They have messed up the times for dynasty games pretty much every year. It's like they have all times based off the Eastern Time Zone. It is usually pretty accurate on the East Coast teams. But play a 6pm kickoff at Texas or USC, etc....it is like kicking off at 3pm or 1pm. It will never get dark.
