Yep. Benefits include certain fixes happening before the patch (like draft order) and ability to use the CFM website (runs better this year, but does less). Last year they constantly tweaked the online before the patches, but not as much this year (due to next-gen I imagine).

This is actually a huge selling point for me. I barely have enough time to play games, and don't have time to read game stats and league-wide scores and details at home, but I have down time at work where I can (via the web) immerse myself in the on-goings in my franchise and league.
