How much do you think I can get for a PS4 on launch day?

I already posted it up on Craigslist and got an offer for $750 which I thought was pretty good. I told my friend who is also going to sell his and he said that I should wait and I can probably get at least $1500 for it.

Is that possible? I thought someone paying $750 was good, but who in their right mind would pay that much for a console?

What would you guys do?

$750 is more than they're going for on eBay right now. $600-$650 seems to be the going rate.

I've heard that Sony will have more stock out than previous launches, so supply may not be as limited as previous launches. Personally, I'd take the $750 and run. But that's just me.

I highly advise against flipping consoles on craigslist for obvious reasons. Be careful.

I think you could make $750-900 easy if you sell it launch day and guarantee overnight shipping.

I agree with aholbert. Come a few days before release when some get panicky and can't find one. Prices will go up

Watch out on Craigslist. Thieves will try anything. My nephew sold his Iphone and the guy gave him counterfeit bills. He ended up selling it for $40. The other $200 was phony.

You could possibly get more in the future, but it's a risk.

I'm on the side of taking the 750 and calling it a win. Especially if it's someone that you can trust and is an easy swap.

I also think that they'll have more of these consoles (both Xbox and PS4), so I don't think there'll be a horrible holiday drought or something. That's just a guess though.

I'd take the $750 honestly. I'm hoping to get $650 for both my extra pre-orders to cover the cost of the system. Supply does seem to be strong (at the moment, anyway).

OP, don't accept the $750 WAIT! If he will give you $750 for it now, then that's a dead give-away you can get more for it at launch.

Or you risk that there are more available in stores on launch day, or within a few days/week, and most people are willing to wait that long.

You may be right, and it's a good strategy, just pointing out the risk. I'd call almost double a win.

Problem is I did this before with tickets to a UFC and ended up losing a few bucks, so I don't want to get too greedy.

So far he has been the only one who contacted me anyway.
