Real brands, Real equipment?

What are the chances that we would (or ever) see real companies in the game? They had the Pro Combat shirts in the game last year, so what is stopping them from having nike, adidas, UA cleats, gloves, batting gloves, etc..?? I feel this would put this over the top and add another realm of realism to one of the most real games out there. If other games can do it (NBA 2k and madden) why couldn't the show?

It could be done, but I assume it's low on the priorities.
Maybe in the next 4-5 years.

Re: Real brands, Real equipment?

Heres something, forget about some of the other stuff like UA, Easton etc...

They currently have MAJESTIC, (also nike sort of...)

Heres what I don't get, with the Majestic license Why is there no more than just the jerseys?
There are plenty of majestic apparel players wear, like warm up jackets, sweaters, champion hats, playoff Tee's/sweaters, it goes on and on.
Im talking the real ones, not the made up jackets, WINTER jackets they put on the coach only. this seems long overdue

Re: Real brands, Real equipment?

Each item must be negotiated and paid for individually.

Getting everything or even a lot more items is very cost prohibitive.

It's VERY expensive.

That's hard for some people to understand.

I never knew, that sucks. I figured you buy the brand for the game, you could've used it at will for anything replicating real life product. guess not... that's a drag...

Yeah....I understand it a bit from both sides.

Funny thing is.....you would think companies would consider it a form of advertising...something THEY usually pay for in magazines....on websites and TV....
But if a game company wants to put a billboard or use an item.....they want money for it.

Strange.
