Re: 2014 NFL Draft Discussion Thread

Posted this in the off topic thread but:

My top 3 picks in the draft will be:

1: Texans: QB Bridgewater if he declares

2: Rams: Offensive Lineman Jake Matthews or Cyrus Kouandjio especially with the nasty Oline injuries they had. I like Mathews better and I dont see the Rams giving up on Bradford yet.

3: Jaguars: QB Derek Carr or Johnny Football

4: Oakland: Not sure what they would get. I mean its a hard area to pick in this draft but I would throw Clowney here for the simple fact his talent alone wont allow him to drop below pick 5 so I would expect them to grab him.

5: Browns: Johnny Football if he is available. I have seen at least 1 tweet from the brown salivating over him. I would be surprised if he falls below the browns.

Re: 2014 NFL Draft Discussion Thread

Rams will move back. We've got a lot of leverage at that #2 spot and 2 First Rounders.

Obvious needs are Offensive line, a more developed threat at WR, and Safety.

Edit: Whoever tries to move up to that #2 spot is probably trying to snag the next best QB off the board. Not sure if there's one worth it, but we should get a good trade.

Evans might not be the first WR off the board. But who knows much of anything until the combine anyway...

Almost guaranteed that Teddy goes #1 at this point. Rams should trade down for more picks. Still think Johnny will be in the top 5 when it's all said and done. Nobody is really talking about him but if Kony Ealy from Mizzou declares he could crack the top 10 and shake up the middle picks of the first round.

A little generous for Mike Evans, he'll be exposed in the combine for his slow feet

I remember a certain Alshon Jeffrey that had the same criticisms

Usually 1 WR will go in the top 10. Evans is the best NFL-ready WR in my book. At 6'5 225 with proven hands and a good vertical, I wouldn't care if his 40 and agility times are mediocre.
