Coaches from Cage's last post.

I gave all coaches max potential.

I set a minimum of 3 for learning, intangible, and physical for each position that reports under a coach.

I updated team philosophies and playbooks.

I scaled back contracts, likely a little too much, to fit under 2008 cap rules.

Simmed one season and it looked pretty good.

There is one primary reason I did this and it was to make the game harder.

You have 2 main advantages with a create a coach in your career:
1) You likely are playing the games and will accumulate skill points faster
2) Max potential

This eliminates one of your advantages.

As for the coach skills 3 is the min based on coach position. So a QB coach won't be lower than a 3 at QB only etc etc.

I think this really helps the overall quality of the game both in sim play and actual. Over the past 3 or so months I've been editing rosters and coaches and simmed well over 50 seasons and played at least 50 games. I've had this game since day 1 and have never seen better, closer, more fun gameplay.

I attribute this to selecting better books, having a good slider set, and the adjustments made to coach skills enabling better player development.

Question ...

I have an updated coaching file ...
I have updated all HC, OC and DC's for every team.
Updated things like age, playing calling , playbook ..etc

Anyways I have no problems loading and playing on Xbox but for some reason I can not get it to work on PS3. Dont know why I cant get them to load but if I send you the files, since you seem to be able to get it to work, would you test it for me...

Hello I'm new to the forums and I'm curious if this update is HC 09 or original? is it PC? If PC can you point me to a link on how do update the original HC rosters? Search is bringing up nada.

hey man havnt checked this out yet but i am currently workin on a update for this years draft for madden when im done with each prospect once their finalized do u want the csvs for each so u can add the new rookies to ur head coach roster?

That would be awesome!

I actually have a database with every rookie to enter the league since '85 + Legends etc and included it in a excel sheet that allows to to easily import them into a current roster.

I would love to add this year's upcoming rookies to that list and eventually add the fictional draft classes from Head Coach / Madden ETC.
