I just saw from an OS member here that you can't steal or lead off when base running is on auto. Is this confirmed?? That would stink if it is.

Did anybody's copy come with some kind of manual? This is the very first game I've bought that has had nothing inside other than the disc.

Dynamic Difficulty still has m head spinning.

When I get home tonight, will I essentially be starting on "Beginner" trying to get the system to gauge my ability?

Will my grade stay with me if I play Exhibition first?

Kind of want to dive right in and not dominate early on while the game figures out my initial skill level.

Any impressions on this would be great!

Save a tree bro!

There's a digital manual on the XMB!

No, there is no physical manual; to answer your question.

It's about time they stopped with physical manuals, it just threw me for a bit of a loop not seeing anything in there.

I think it would be interesting to see how much they saved by not printing any this year.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q&A with the Community

There seems to be a lot of concern on sac bunt situations with QC. I posted this view in another thread, but thought it would be worth restating and elaborating some. I view any generated counts in bunt situations as failed attempts.

Bunting in video games, in my opinion, probably have a 99% success rate from a human control perspective. This, however, is so unrealistic. The pitcher coming up with a QC of 2-2 forces a realistic situation that you would rarely see playing the game, but commonly see in real life. Swing away or bunt? It's a frustrating situation to be put into, but a very realistic one. Here's a chart showing sac bunt success rates. It's recently gone back up some, but you're looking at 1 out of 4, 2 out of 5 sac bunts being unsuccessful.

So while you may not like it, it forces realistic situations that you typically don't encounter and it keeps up with the goal of faster gameplay. I would actually argue not to tweak it because it keeps up with the sim aspect of the game.
