Update Rosters After Franchise Starts?

I know the answer to this question, as I have played sports games for years, but I have to ask anyway with the new "take your offline franchise forever" feature....

There is no way, still, to update the roster (via download) once a franchise has started, right?

I'm not far into my Cubs franchise, but I have enough emotional ties to my players and their performances that I really don't want to start over. I have considered editing a few players on each team (existing fake names) and roll with it that way, but I had to ask for sure before I committed.

Thanks in advance!

One of the reasons I wish I had the option to turn force trades on and off throughout the season. I don't want to control all the other teams, and I still want to go up against the AI logic regarding trades—good or bad as it may be.

Re: Update Rosters After Franchise Starts?

Yeah this bugs me about the multi year saves. It's a great idea and will be perfect for a lot of people, but I want to see real players. not created-real players. I want to see the real version of ploanco and taveras in my franchise next year. So I will probably won't be able to take advantage of this feature.

What they could do to fix this is allow importing of players into franchise. They should have a feature that will allow you to replace a fake player with a real one and give you the option of keeping the old player's stats or taking the ones from the imported player.

I would be willing to do this manually for all the added players next year

Hmm, so I'm in Season mode as the Red Sox, and Ryan Dempster is on my roster. No Grady Sizemore, either. I played three games without really paying much attention to my depth chart, and then I realized, hmm. Can I edit the roster or something?
