Real video of commentary guys instead of cartoon?

You guys think in the near future Madden will have real life video of the commentary guys like NHL 15 is doing instead of the cartoon that is in madden 15?

I really hope EA plans to do this for all of there sports games and not just NHL.

Damn, that's brilliant. That would be awesome. Although I feel like they're able to do this given the NBC license they have. Tiburon doesn't use the licenses they have, so I feel like Madden will NEVER have this.

I actually found it very jarring. And in the video I saw, the announcers looked very uncomfortable saying their lines. I don't know...

That's interesting--real guys with the animated background.

Well, I like it. The only issue I'd have is it getting old after a while. I guess that's inevitable. But I think seeing the same real-life clip or clips over and over again might, in some weird way, get older faster than seeing an animated Simms and Nantz.

I haven't seen video of this, but it would depend on how it's integrated and how it transitions to/from this. Could just come across as really strange.

Madden 98 had this with Pat Summerall & John Madden talking before each season game. It was pretty cool, but they also only had to play for 1 season's worth of video back then. I think it would get incredibly old, today.

Not to mention how jarring it is to go from real video to game graphics. No matter how real the graphics may ever look, they will always be a noticeable video game when side by side with real video (see the QB intros this year). This may not bother some, but it would bother others.

In fact, it would remind me of the intro on Madden 08...that was an epic intro, held back only because they spliced in game footage that just looked terrible with the real stuff.

From the one teaser trailer they showed the transition looks seamless. NHL is shaping up to have the best presentation of any sports game this year.

I believe Madden 10 and 11 has this, not with the animation background but with real life folks, and it did get pretty old.

I prefer just voice with dynamic commentary over highlights and stats over YOUR FRANCHISE like NCAA 14 does before the games.
