    RTTS Questions

1a) I started a RTTS as a right-fielder. Are there preferred cameras for this mode, especially for playing outfield?

1b) On that note, is playing outfield recommended? Are there a couple positions that simply play better in this mode?

    2) Why does it keep simulating my outfield time? I always have to interrupt.

    3) When playing outfield, is there a way to alleviate the glitch where if you miss a catch you dont keep running in the same direction? Ive changed direction to run towards the ball after missing, but he keeps running in the original direction for a second or two. Highly frustrating.

Thanks in advance for any help

I have PS3 not 4 so don't know if applicable here or not.

1 - Perspective is always behind the player so no.

2 - Check your Mode Specific settings, notably Game Watch (Classic FFs to plays possibly involving you) & RTTS Fielding Opportunities.

    3 - No idea.

I'm a 1st baseman and many times, my player over runs the base when covering. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? It doesn't happen every time or I'd at least be able to judge it with practice.

If you press circle close enough to the base he will run right to it instead of you having to move the stick.

In RTTS that might be square. Default is anyway.

Didnt even think of that. Now that you mention it though. Playing as a 3B square is 1st base for me and X is 2nd. I started that player back when the game first came out and just started playing again last week so i dont remember if i changed the settings or not. I always though X was your base by default in RTTS unless you changed it.

Default is flipped (square for 1st, X for 2nd, etc.) unless you are a catcher. You can change to Classic to have circle for 1st, triangle 2nd, etc.

The running bug can be overcome by coming to a complete stop and then changing direction. Annoying I know but it works for me.

                  Re: RTTS Questions

Thanks everyone! That is going to help immensely.

Next question....I know this is mostly a matter of preference - and I've seen this question before here but now I can't find it.....
How often do you sim your games. Right now I really enjoy playing so I'm a bit hesitant to sim any. However - I am very impatient when it comes to playing video games and usually want to see what the next "Level" looks like.
Does anyone have some guidelines that they use on when to sim.

EDIT: I found a thread but it was old and I had to search on Google to find it. Here it is and it has some decent info for noobs like me....

                    Re: RTTS Questions

Ok....I just played two RTTS games and the pressing the square does not make me move to the base. Do I have to be pressing something else with the square?

I tried the circle as well however it just charges the throw.

Like Hoz said, you have be close enough to the bag. What ever button you have set to throw to 1B is the button you use.

                        Re: RTTS Questions

Last night I was asked if I wanted to be traded if I wasn't happy with my club.

If I ask for a trade, does the manager treat me any different? I'm in AA with the Braves organization and have a decent chance to advance depending on Freeman's contract.

Perhaps my question is here right, Hope so:

Hey there and greetz from Europe from a new Big Baseball Fan. I have One question and i Hope You can help me.

I begun my RTTS with a SS and signed at The Yankees. Now to my question:
The other player from my Team, which are controlled by the "Computer", seem to be very bad in hitting, so I have Problems to get Runs. If Simulated in scenes, where I am Not in game, it is Better.

How can I Solve the problem, when I am e.g. on 1st base. The whole Time, they will be striked out :-(

                          Thanks in Advance for answering

                            Couple of more questions.

How long (average) does it take to get "the call"? Obvioulsly that depends a lot on who's in front of you - which leads me to my next question...

How likely are they to grant you a trade should you request one?

Soooo.......what do you guys do when you're traded to a team you dislike?

I was in the Braves' organization (AA) as a 1st baseman. Then I requested a trade since I was buried on the organization's depth chart. Then I was asked if I wanted to change positions. I said yes (to 3B) as my potential was B while Johnson's was C. I was offered a contract by Atlanta and made the big club - skipping AAA, which I really didn't want to do but I wasn't going to complain.
Then, 20 games into my first season in the bigs, they honor my request for a trade (6 months later) and I get traded to a team I dislike. Now it's not giving me another option to request to get traded.
                              Am I just screwed?
