What Positions are important in madden?

Im doing a online connected career and need help rebuilding a roster, they are 3-12. With only 2 guys over 40 confidene.

1) Do Edge Rushers get pressure? I can get pressure with Interior Rushers but not edge rushers.

2) Which positions don't need awareness?

I user the Linebackers or Safeties.

All my recommedations are based on my experience with a 4-3 base defense.

1.) Edge rushers can bring pressure. Even if they don't always get to the QB the affect QB plays by forcing bad (early) throws or making the QB throw it on the run. An edge-rushing DE needs physical traits (STR/ACC) and either FMV or PMV. In my Dolphins save I get a lot of pressure and sacks with Cam Wake and Olivier Vernon. I also use Dion Jordan as a pass-rush-specialist OLB in some packages.

2.) I don't have any proof for it but I'm pretty sure that every player controlled by the AI needs AWR. So if you're user-controlling the MLB or a Safety you'd ideally want all other players to have high AWR. Personally, I think AWR is more important for a LB and DB than it is for a Lineman. I usually user-control my MLB and I'm especially looking for Safeties with high AWR.

Every player needs awareness. Awareness is the most important attribute for every player.

sliders will also play a role. is your league using them. A good slider set will make a difference on what are more important. imo default settings require very little skills on the o-line to allow good pass protection, but a good slider set can make a big difference between a 75 and 95 tackle. thus affecting how important or unimportant DL would be as well
