I have received quite a few emails here and on PSN asking if I will be doing classic teams for this year's game.

I have decided not to. If EA allowed porting of rosters from year to year I would definitely update...but they don't. Also, if the EA editor was opened up so you could change certain things about current players (height, weight, skin color, etc) I probably would...but they don't.

It is just too much work for me to take on...talking a few months worth of work to do it right, and I am just not feeling the work effort this year. Maybe that will change when the cold wind and snow starts blowing around here in CT, but I doubt it.

There are some very talented classic roster guys here - l8knight1, Playmakers, and others. I look forward to any work they put out as they are extremly dedicated, accurate, and have an amazing attention to detail.

I can't blame you to be honest....

I skipped the past two Madden on Next Gen to take a break from editing rosters but also the game simply wasn't that good IMO to spend months on rosters.

This years game is solid outside of the issues with CFM which hopefully will be fixed soon.

So that is why I'm going to work on a set this year......

I'm just going to basically setup my XBOX next to my XBOX One and copy all the DATA from Madden 25 rosters over to Madden 16.

The height and weight match is tough to get around but i think because i did 90's rosters on Madden 25 I was able to get a close match in those areas for most players.....

My only regret was not documenting which players I used to edit over to create Classic player now i have to go through the data base and match up all oevragain from scratch

Go for it Playmakers. I just wish you were PS4. Good luck and I know it will be your usual quality release.

Didn't even see you post this before I commented in the other thread. We know if can be implemented and I think it'd really improve the replay value of the game.

I think a lot of people would agree this year's version PLAYS better than any other. It'd be amazing to start a CFM with a random 1977 roster (or sub your year of choice).

I think I may give my 93 set another shot, but it'd be much less detailed.

I agree that it is a no brainer for them to implement a roster or season carry over year to year. It is basic db file export/import stuff. Period.

I hope to see your work thjis year as well! I have enjoyed it in year's past...

Completely understood......side note...i loved your classic rosters u did for 2k4/5.....outstanding work.....at least, i think it was you..haha

Thanks Kgun! And yep...that was me. Made over 100 classic teams including the 1989 season and Alltime teams as well as year specific teams. Great 3rd party editor was available for that!

yeah bummer, I'm a big fan of Playmakers but I went with PS4.

Ah well... I keep wanting to make a all time best teams roster, but the thought of all the hours it'll take to make a good one keeps stopping me in my tracks... Maybe some day I'll get one finished.
