Does Madden 08 PC have custom playbooks?

On the fence about buying this. I know there's a ton of mods and support on FB freaks but I couldn't find anything about this.

1. Is there a custom playbook creator like the one in madden 07? I mean creating custom formations, plays, everything. Or if there isn't one in game is there a third party application that allows you to do this?

2. Can you use these custom playbooks in franchise mode? I remember spending HOURS creating a custom playbook for madden 07 on my ps2 just to find out that I couldn't actually use it in franchise mode

I believe the answer to both of your questions is yes. The playbook creator is a bit tedious and prohibitive at times. It's tough to make formations implemented in the last five years or so, like Gun-Offset+H looks or Diamond Pistol work quite correctly.

Overall, though, it's a lot of fun.

Yeah madden 08 is pretty much the same as 07 so there is a playbook creator

Although the sim stats in 08 are wonky the gameplay is solid

My favorite feature is the pro bowl. Were players wear team specific helmets. Really minute, but really is awesome

Yes it has custom playbooks in game, there is also a 3rd party editing program that works well once you learn it. Football-freaks is gone now but a new site Footballidiot has taken over and has lots of the same guys. That's your best place to go for resources and help.
