How soon is too soon...

When you get MLB The Show 16, how soon will you start your franchise? Is there a number a "test" games you want to play first or do you just dive in?

Also, which roster updates do you trust? Will you wait for at least one roster update before you begin?

My plan was to import my franchise right away and bump the difficulty down to all star to get used to the new version. I'm 2-8 last ten games anyway so maybe the changes would help me regain some confidence.

But with the franchise carry over bug I think I'm going to wait and play some DD or conquest first.

I usually play a few exhibition games for the first couple of days with teams i never play with cuz once i start my mets franchise thats all i do. I usually wait for op sports opening day rosters but if i find a top 100 prospects one that is decent enough or atleast just the mets accurate minors i might just jump into franchise earlier this year.

I wait and I wait and I wait... Trying sliders, waiting for OSFM, telling myself I am not ready yet, and after all that, I play half a season and leave it..

New plan: get the game, type in Armor and Sword and Marino slider set, and play. I'm hoping this gets me going long term.

I jump right into franchise with default rosters. I use Spring Training to get back into the "swing" of things.

Don't think I am waiting on rosters this year. I don't follow MLB enough to know if certain guys are missing from teams and I think I can be okay with default prospects (if I do Franchise instead of Season mode) so I might start up pretty quickly. I usually wait for a roster, see a better one will be out in a month, wait, etc... don't ever get started. Jumping right in this year, I think...

I usually start a 'place-holder' franchise, manually setting up each team's 25-man, and then scrap it and start over when OSFM comes out.

I'm going to carry over my Rays franchise and continue that until OSFM roster comes out and then am going to start a new franchise with A&S's slider set.
