What does Shot iq do in 2K17?

I maxed out myplayer shot iq. Just wondering what effects does it have?

Nobody knows. It's either like offensive awareness in the old games, or just.completely useless.

Its for the AI to recognize how fast to pull on an open shot.

Close but not totally. How aggressively they seek their shot & knowledge of when in a scoring opportunity (what to do). Applies to CPU.

My gut tells it's one of the factors that decides what contract dollars you get offered in MyCareer.

But other than that, you're probably right.

Not at all. It's another one of those mislabeled attributes/tendencies that get editors in trouble. It will however keep a player from shooting when in obvious scoring opportunities if low and yes it ONLY applies to CPU controlled teams... also factors in to sim stats.
