NCAA Basketball 10 rosters - PS3 ('16-17)

(February roster update w/ 65 schools on page 5 of the forum by "Lace Up"!)

The wait is over ... and earlier than expected! Rosters for 45 of the top schools in the country for the PS3, 2016-17 season. Much credit goes to "Lad35533" for providing a great base from last season! Definitely feel free to use this roster and edit the NEXT 45 schools in the NCAA hunt and post! Please read the instructions carefully on threads below, I will not be emailing the file to anyone. Simply download (extract all ... the key is swapping the SYS-DATA file). What's included:

-The CBS Sports pre-season top-25 schools! (and other key schools)
-The top-30 frosh! (and more)
-ESPN's top-35 players in the country ranked 84-86 overall. (to separate the studs)
-Seniors taken out or removed to bottom of depth chart. (impossible to change 'year')
-Handful of other schools "tweaked" but not fully completed.

Schools fully edited, at least 8 players deep: Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, Villanova, Xavier, North Carolina, Oregon, Virginia, Indiana, UCLA, Wisconsin, Arizona, St. Mary's, Gonzaga, Michigan State, Louisville, Texas, Rhode Island, UConn, Purdue, Syracuse, Cal, Creighton, Iowa State, West Virginia, Wichita State, Dayton, Cincinnati, Florida State, NC State, Oklahoma, Florida, Colorado, Ohio State, Baylor, Maryland, Michigan, Seton Hall, Notre Dame, Minnesota, South Carolina, Butler, VCU, Monmouth, Middle Tennessee.

Named players at least on the screen and before the tip? Obviously it would be near impossible to get them on the audio loop unless the last name was already in the game right?

I was hoping someone would step up to the plate, but I have started the PS3 roster update for the 2016-17 season. My goal is to have the top-40 schools plus key mid-majors in one month ... by Christmas Eve 12/24/16. This will provide a nice base if someone wants to take things from there. I've done this in prior years so I know what I'm doing so don't worry, I'll post the roster on this thread. Comments are welcome. Thanks all! -Treyz

I know Alabama isn't a top 40 school, but if there's any way u could add them I'd really appreciate it. If not, that's fine too. Looking forward to the roster!

To keep ratings consistent here is what I do...

It's not too scientific but an overall rating of 80-85 means the player is all-conference to All-American... 76-79 overall is a "starter" for a major conference team/good mid-major. For 3-point ratings, a 35-percent shooter is around a "75"... someone who hits a lot of 3s (or 40+ percent) is an "80-82". An elite 3-point shooter is around 85-90 rating. If I hear a player is good at defense or free throws I generally put a '90'. The "inside scoring" rating is important for good guards and top big-men. It is impossible to have accurate ratings for everyone but I like to see who is starting and who is scoring the most points on each squad.

Here are instructions to download the roster (you need to unzip it):

**Essentially, replace my SYS-DATA portion of the file with your generic saved file (SYS-DATA portion). Each file contains four parts....see below, read carefully!

For the 2010 game, rosters are copy protected. Save a generic roster file and put it on a USB and copy it to your computer desk top.

Now that you have your original edited rosters and generic roster file on your desk top, open the PS3-save data folder and delete the "SYS-Data" portion of the generic file you just saved a few minutes ago.

Then open the named file and copy the edited roster "SYS-Data" portion into the generic PS3-save data folder. Now you should now have a complete edited roster which is under your PS3 id/name.

Put what was your "generic roster" back on the flash drive and use the triangle button to copy your new roster to your PS3 hard drive.

Simple version:

1. Download the rosters from the OS thread.
2. Unzip/extract all the file
3. Take the SYS-DATA portion of the file out of the folder--leave it on your desktop.
---
1. Put the NCAA 10 game in and save a generic/no-name roster right away
2. Exit the game and take that no-name/generic roster file and copy on a flash drive
3. Replace the generic/no name SYS-DATA portion of the file with my SYS-DATA update.
4. Put that generic roster with MY UPDATE back on the ps3.

I have another 10 schools to edit [to get to about 40 as I promised] ... then I'll do my best to post it within the next 7-10 days. Gotcha. Just curious as to why you didn't do all the P5 conferences before doing the smaller schools? Just asking ok. Not trying to start a fuss. Thanks!
