CPU pulling closer while still winning in the 9th

2 games in a row i was losing 1-0 to the Royals. In both games they brought in their closer. After getting my first 2 hitters out in the 9th, i singled and immediately their closer was pulled and a new relief pitcher was put in. This exact scenario happened 2 games in a row. Anyone else notice anything similar? Thanks.

Yes I have seen this happen.

I wouldn't mind seeing certain type of managers don't stick to the "closer" role for their tendency to value putting the best reliever in the "high leverage" situation... but we don't have the CPU manager tendency in the game yet.

I wish CPU managers just stick to their closer until at least tying run is allowed.

Never seen this as well but I do see the CPU constatnstly leaving relievers in even when they are getting lit up.

Do we want to see this in every game? No of course not. But it has happened in the real world. In fact it happened last night in the Mets/Nationals game.

"With Bryce Harper coming to the plate with the bases loaded and the Mets clinging to a two-run, ninth-inning lead, New York manager Terry Collins went to the mound and replaced closer Jeurys Familia with left-hander Josh Edgin."

I don't see how a bases loaded situation is the same as a 2 out single..

There are a bunch of different variables between the two scenarios, Familia has been horrible since he came back from suspension and The Mets had lost 9 of 10 or 10 of 11 or something like that and needed that win desperately. I don't the cpu has that type of logic factored in to their bullpen management
