I'd start in the MAC conference. The teams are all from Ohio or Michigan. It's a lower tier conference. If you've created a powerful team I would go with the BIG 10 conference.

Re: NCAA Conference Question

Also depends on where in Canada your team is. If they're out west (Alberta area), you could do Pac 14/Mountain West.

Re: NCAA Conference Question

MAC propably is the conference with most teams located near by, but conference level is not that high.

Big Ten has teams from northern states like Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin, and is a high level conference.

You might also think about ACC. It has teams all over east coast USA, from Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and New Your, all the way to Florida.

Re: NCAA Conference Question

There are multiple conferences with schools in states which border Canada. For a non-power 5 conference the MAC has Buffalo and some schools in Michigan. There is also Idaho if you want a smaller school.

For power 5 conferences there are the Big Ten with Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota and the Pac 12 with Washington and Washington State.

I'd go with a power 5 conference and play with the big boys.

When I add the Ivy League teams, I just always replace the entire Sun Belt with the Ivy League.
