Player Likeness - Hits and Misses

Hey guys, I'm going to try to do some player likeness comparisons from time to time, comparing between in Game and real life, and doing a blend between the two to show the likeness.

With that said, I've done two thus far, both which I feel EA nailed. There may be small imperfections, but overall, VERY well done.

Lebron James

Andrew Wiggins

Kyrie Irving

Kevin Durant

Avery Bradley

I think LeBron is a spot on as can be.. Floored by the likeness, both the way he plays and looks. Especially his weight, layup animations & footwork..

Can I post this here?

Seeing him up close and slow motion, feels real.

Kyrie, Durant are all very close imo too.

Yep, getting ready to do them. Then I'll try some of the "misses". I think Green looks pretty good, but some I've seen says he looks terrible. Jamal Crawford, in a few of my captures I think was one of the better. Some of the worse pictures I've seen are because people choose the picture mid emotion, which of course distorts them.

Glad you are highlighting this area of the game. Since gameplay and game modes have been drastically improved, it's easy to overlook the effort that has been applied towards various face scans, player models and overall environment this year! The art team must be given due credit!

I also believe this is one of the best J Crawford scans in a video game to date! Others of note. Blake Griffin (excellent scan and player model), the unibrow, Westbrook, TT, KD (looks more like the current KD with a fuller face. Some appear infatuated with his older thinner face look which is now inaccurate), the beard, Shumpert, Swaggy P, Green's from both teams, Zaza (btw, how come Mcgee is in THE ONE but not Warriors roster? Was he not signed?)

Also agree that some of the so called bad scans are a result of bad captures. D Green comes to mind.

Having said that, we may need to start another thread for faces and body types that are off to provide some feedback for future updates. Off the top of my head, the body types for Andre Drummond and Demarcus Cousins are off (both too skinny). Lance Stephenson has a good face scan but also appears somewhat skinny. D. Rose, though not too bad, can use some mods or an update. Same for Cousins. Kawhi?

Vince Carter looks noticeably better as well. Saw him in one Rucker Park game. I was furious with Live 16's demo representation! As a fan, I was so pleasantly surprised, his shot, body, facescan all looked spot on. If they give guys like 41 year old Carter that attention, my hopes are high for the final release.
