Hello everyone! Bard back here with the yearly edition of Universe Mode Thread!

In this thread we post about what we are planning with our Universes, and update everyone on them as well!

Hopefully with such a big roster this year we see some new blood come on in and share with us, and have people return and keep posting!

I will likely keep posting my 2K17 Universe, but I will throw the updates on in here so everyone can still read up!

Alrighty! Now I want to get this underway (haha), as I am way too excited for 2K18!

Now I am not super sure if I will be posting 2K18 or not, but my 2K17 Universe Mode can be found - WWE 2K Universe Mode - Are You Listening Now? - in between the lines right there as a shameless plug.

I am planning on keeping the Brand Split alive, but running things differently than normal. I will have Raw and Smackdown as my two main rosters like in real life, and NXT at the developmental. Now for the changes. All of the titles have been vacated, and there will be matches to determine the new Champs. I will in full detail in a moment.

I will probably run an offline universe but as far as posting I'm not sure. I might do QRs for a real Universe.

Also thinking of doing something like a real sports league with divisions and seasons (probably 4 per year). I will either split them into complete divisions or put stables together with superstars from different divisions and they will face other stables weekly with records being kept. Overall stable records and individual division records. I just have to make stables that would make sense.

Will have to look at rosters to see what I can do.

In one of my saves I plan to do something like a historical timeline.
I was trying to think of how to get most of my favorites from the past in to a universe while not having 40 guys sitting around not doing much because there are only so many matches and so many titles to fight for.
It's one of the biggest challenges to a show with only classic wrestlers compared to the current roster since there are easily hundreds that would be fun to have in your universe.

I plan to have a wwf/wwe show and then after 2 years start a wcw show to run alongside.
What I'm doing is starting with wwf and the 80's/early 90's with a roster of around 35.
Around 6-8 in heavyweight title picture, 10-12 in Intercontinental,5-6 tag teams and a few jobbers.

Unsure how many years I will get through so after every 6 months or so I replace a few guys. It's not a literal timeline but starting to replace guys that were more 80's and short wwe careers while some guys like Undertaker and Shawn Michaels will stay till the end. This way the guys on the roster stay active and involved while at the same time bringing in new guys to keep things fresh.

After 2 years the wwf is now wwe and I add a wcw show around the time when Hall and Nash went to wcw and the start of the Monday night wars.
After playing a couple years wcw may be bought and the Monday night wars may turn into the wwe vs the dawn of TNA when guys like Angle, Sting,Steiner and some other wwe guys started going there.

Assuming the caw limit is 100 my plan is to download caws for the time they are used and then remove and download new guys as they are added to the shows.

I plan on doing an offline Universe mood. I dont quite have the rosters yet in mind but I wish they'd bring back the old system like on raw vs smackdown where each show was against the other and you would get weekly results to which one was better. Now you're just creating to create.

Are those just CAWs you plan on downloading? I haven't seen anything as far as DLC goes that is official.
