If you mean the full body, action pictures on the player card in the roster area, those disappear so they'll have the correct team uniform on.

I'm not a big fan of this, especially on the free agent pool as they all look like CAPS. When 2k16 did roster updates to incorporate all the new kits, they left the player portraits alone save for players who weren't in on default (Metta World Peace) and after the update if you traded players they retained their portrait instead of the generic animated ones. Hopefully in 2k18 with the upcoming updates they will keep the portraits alone like with 2k16 updates. Al

BTW on last gen all they had were headshots. I'd prefer those anyway since they never changed.

Headshot portraits were by far the best. Roster screens looked so clean. The current system is a mess.

At least with updates in 2k16 if you decided to manually update, portraits remained in tact which is far better and looks way better.

I must be the only one ever who actually likes the action portraits as in-game player portraits. I think they would look a lot better if it was for everyone.

Re: Portreats nba2k18

What sucks is not only are the portraits from last season, there are also portraits of sleeved jerseys which aren't in this year as I really loved the Thunder one and the Rockets sets as James Harden was a fan of them and they Rockets wore those more than the normal home/away.
