Please fix AI defense against 5 out or totally remove it

5 out found its way in 2k in 2k17. In reality it's being played sometimes by the GSW, but not even close to how it is implemented offensively in the game, 5 players not moving outside the 3 pt line.

The defense seems unable to defend and people with teams with centers that can shoot 3 tend to abuse it

The issue becomes even more brutal in MyTeam where everyone can choose their players. So almost everyone uses 5 out. Hell the last 2 years I have seen Cousins and Marc Gasol shooting more 3s than posting up. Moreover 2k releases center cards with Curry 3 pt capabilities

2k this style of play does not resemble basketball simulation.
It is not possible to remove freelances like Princeton etc that require skill, and keep 5 out.

It provides an unfair advantage over anyone who refuses to resort to 5 out and has driven many dedicated players away from the mode.

2k needs to stop programming the defenders from completely hugging the perimeter, allowing isolation abuse. Your teammates shouldn't have to hug their man at the perimeter in order to defend them. Your teammates can still be guarding the paint and perimeter simultaneously by being in the proper position. The following test was done a couple months ago with NBA2k14. Hall of Fame or Rookie difficulty didn't matter, 2k14's defensive setup is simply better.

Agree 100%. It's at the same point as when the 1-3-1 zone was in the game and it was overpowered enough that it was decided to be removed.

Any time there are hundreds of YouTube videos going around from cheesers with topics like "5 OUT ULTIMATE EASY OFFENSE 2K!!" should tell you when something is basically a glitch that needs to be removed.

Regardless of setting the world's most complicated range of manual defensive settings every game (which is painful and boring in itself to have to do), the AI breaks down against a simple 5-Out pick and roll every time.

Let's keep the thread alive guys. I am stuck to play play now online,especially all time teams since most teams have genuine centers. Even there i can see guys using gasol /worthy /Mikan and instead of Shaq, jabbar etc. The same player who cannot dominate me in the post with Kareem over KD at pf can beat me up using 5 out with gasol against Wilt. It is pathetic

My team was my favorite mode until last year when almost everyone started using 5 out. This is just the rule this year
