2018 NBA Draft Prospects

Is this thread early? Yes.

Is it too early? Probably, yes.

But we're roughly 2 weeks away from the beginning of the NCAA season, and heartthrob Luka Doncic's season is already underway, and he's currently killing it in ways that defy my previous sense of reality (only 3 games in, but Doncic currently averaging 30.6 points per 36 for Real Madrid in Euroleague as a ****ing 18 year old), so I figured I'd start this baby up.

As of their last update, the DraftExpress guys (now with ESPN) believed that the race for the #1 pick is basically a 5-7 man group of Doncic, Marvin Bagley, Michael Porter, DeAndre Ayton, Mo Bamba, and then possibly Miles Bridges and Robert Williams, with Doncic as the early favorite to go #1.

UNC’s Joel Berry broke his hand from punching a door after losing video game SMH.

Re: 2018 NBA Draft Prospects

Not much to say yet since the college season hasn't started yet besides...
  1. Doncic to the Knicks please
  2. Curious to see Michael Porter Jr. I feel he's slightly overrated based solely on ever-so-reliable YouTube clips.
  3. First time in a while that the Top 10 will likely be big man-heavy. Figure at least 3-4 of these guys will be major busts during the college season and will drop far down the draft board. Also a weak PG draft.

Lastly, it really sucks that DX is no more.

I agree with this entire post. Doncic on the Knicks would be such a nice fit, and y'all could potentially have an entire starting 5 of Euro guys haha.

Re: 2018 NBA Draft Prospects

Yeah, thankfully I've subscribed to Insider for the last couple years, so it feels like it'll finally really come in handy this year, but it's a definite bummer.

I hope another reputable draft-focused site comes along. Chad Ford wasn't the best but it was nice to have both Chad Ford AND Givony's sources out there.
