Yeah, the roster this year was pretty disapointing. I get they had to remove fighters due to other promotions, retirement ect... but the problem is, is that they didn't add fighters to fill those gaps. Lets take HW for example, I believe Cro Cop, Nelson, Rosholt, Barnett, Meathead, Bigfoot, Pat Barry, Gonzaga, Jordan, Mir, Rutten, Sakuraba, Tyson all got removed. In return we got Francis, Volkov, Tim Johnson..... Thats just not enough, We need guys like Blaydes, Shamil A., Chase Sherman, Justin Ledet, Junior Albini, Justin Willis, Walt Harris ect... and thats just one division.

Yeah they need to make too 15 fighters in the division being added a priority. Like anyone in the top 15 needs to be priority. The devs bragged about having the female division's mocapped and in the game in a week so I dont see why adding fighters like blaydes and Costa at mw and more heavyweights to flush out the division.

This game's roster is on-point if you're a current UFC fan.

I can do without classic fighters, even though I'm usually the one begging for HOF DLC. Heavyweight is a shallow division IRL. Homie here is mentioning Justin Ledet/Chase Sherman level dudes...

They didn't even put Mike ****ing Perry in this game.

If they put Justin Ledet or Chase Sherman in this thing and didn't put Mike Perry, that would've been so backwards. I know who those guys are, you guys know them. But it makes sense why they aren't in the game because you have to be hardcore into the sport to even know who they are.

You have the top 15 in practically every division, including this one. If you go look at the top 15 HW in UFC, there are only 4 missing...

Marcin Tybura - Obvious reasons here. I'm a junkie for this **** and I had to double take at him to even remember who he is. 3-2 in the UFC.

Curtis Blaydes - Now this one I'll give you. He should be in this game, he's been here long enough and he has prominent wins. I have a feeling he'll get added later like some others did last year. 4-1 in the UFC.

Junior Albini - I like this guy, but he's been here for like five minutes. He's 1-1 in the UFC and that second one was a very uneventful fight against Arlovski, that was like a couple months ago too. Not really shocked he didn't make the game.

The only other one is some guy named Shamil (Last name that I will not even attempt to type) and he's 3-2 in the UFC with his last win being a KO over Chase Sherman.

So yeah man I don't see how the roster, especially HW is weak. If anything, it's better than UFC 2 as the stats for each class are more balanced as a whole. Meaning there are actually more viable fighters and less OP beasts. All the signature animations, personal AI, and other tweaks make each fighter feel unique, which was something that was completely missing in the last game.

So to me, there's no credible argument for this game's roster being worse than the last.

Hopefully there is a legends pack like in EA UFC 1.

Roster should improve with new comers like Colby Covington, Mike Perry, Paulo Costa, Thiago Santos, Josh Emmett, David Branch, Tyson Pedro, Khalil Rountree, Curtis Blaydes, Marcin Tybura, Marcin Held, Justin Ledet, Zabit Magomedsharipov etc.

When a win over Arlovski gets you ranked... you know the HW division is shallow. His last win against a guy in the UFC was against Ben Rothwell in 2008 lol.

Btw Arlovski has a speed stat of 97. Tied the highest with JDS and ahead of the rest of the pack by quite a lot. Talk about bizarre lol.

EDIT: Oh wait nvm he actually lost to Arlovski. HW is so shallow man. Barely any of them have much MMA skill. Even the new guys.

Those. Those are the people that we need. The guys just named there, and I bet they will be coming as time goes.

I've talked on here before about a HOF DLC pack. I've asked if others would pay like, $4.99 for some fighters or an old school octagon. I don't remember what the response was generally. I wonder if there's a specific reason we haven't gotten anything like that. Possibly a UFC problem.

I’m a current UFC fan and longtime but no way is this year better at Heavyweight or in general we had Tyson and as a gamer as well just not as fun we have guys like pascal Krauss lol

I agree every top 15 in every division should be in the game without a doubt, But top prospects should absolutley be included in the game. If you look at the lifespan of the game some of these prospects will easily be in the top 10-15 before the next game drops.

HW is a special case though, HW is very aged, but in 2-3 years these guys will be top contenders.

Please do not use Mike ****ing Tyson as your reference point to why the roster in a UFC game is not up to par, it kills your entire argument on arrival.

That's like saying MKX roster is better than MK9 because of Leatherface or Jason. If you think MKX roster is better, cool. But if it's because of Leatherface or Jason, that just doesn't make any sense. It's not a horror game, it's a fighting game.

Same thing. This isn't a boxing game, it's an MMA game. Pick any other division on this game and give me a credible argument why it's worse, because you've lost the argument for HW.

To the homie above: Agreed, but I feel like they'll probably patch alot of those in. They did that in UFC 2 with some fighters, I can't remember who.

You literally titled this "The roster is weak" not "Heavyweight is boring".

Understand your own arguments before you attempt to make them.
