No matter what, I'm always excited for the Saturday events. Hype usually is higher than feeling after event itself, but NBA is the one sport that can actually put on a decent skills comp. MLBs new HRD format has helped alot, nobody cares about the NFL Pro Bowl weekend, and NHL doesn't even know what they want in their skills challenge.

For once, I don't care about the Friday events. No celeb this year to really have me interested in the celeb game(as much as some hated it, I actually liked the Kevin Hart stuff during celeb game). And Rising Stars last time I think I was really entertained was probably 2014(with guys like Oladipo, Davis, Hardaway jr, Lillard, Beal, Drummond, Giannis, Valanciunas).

Dunk contest like always, while big names are nice to have, as 2016 showed, simply have a great dunk contest and people will be excited. 3pt contest really needs to end the night.

And ASG will be the ASG. Exhibition game for 43 minutes and somewhat defensive the final 5(unless someone is going for a record, then you really stop them), but I like ASG. NBA ASG is also my fave of all the sports. A highlight reel game.

There has to be a little excitement because of the new format. I'll be interested in the first quarter at least.
