So, I'm not really into racing. I mean, I get bored if all I need to do is just drive and get to the finish line first (I can watch racing casually, but I'm not into playing it).
I love police chases, lots of damage and destruction, combat, chaos...good old action with lots of deformation - but with some goal/story, rather than just smashing into each other again and again and again...

I really wanted to play Wheelman on the PS3 (it's very close to what I'm looking for, though it's probably not the highest quality game), but it's hard to find this game. Then I thought maybe I should get Burnout Paradise...I like the damage model and it looks like there's lots of action, but I'm concerned it's too much about racing and less about action. Another option might be Ridge Racer Unbounded as it seems to have lots of action and destruction.

I have played Driver SF - and loved it! I wouldn't mind if you could step out of the car, but I still enjoyed the game very much!

Do you guys think the above games I mentioned would be what I'm looking for? And can you suggest any other PS4 or PS3 games that would provide me with this experience?

Yeah, I was looking at videos of it...may be an option, but it seemed kind of silly or weird.

Twisted Metal was one my absolute favs growing up. It’s possible it’s become outdated today tho but I still enjoy playing it every now and then.

OK, I'll check it, thanks. Any other games where you can take out your rivals while trying to get somewhere or just have lots of crashes? Are there any NFS games that provide with this experience but not just about racing?
