I love that they finally got faceguards into the game this year, they make players that use them look so much better. Unfortunately, for some reason we cannot add them (or remove them) when editing players.

Bast case scenario would be for them to unlock this option and let us edit this piece of equipment ourselves. PLEASE let this be the case. If not, I'd like to gather up all the players in the game who are using the faceguards in reality, but do not have them in The Show and hopefully the developers can update the players.

So far I have noticed:

Brandon Drury

Bryce Harper

Hanley Ramirez

Eduardo Nunez

Yah, I was going to edit some last night just to find that the option was locked. I get why we can't edit faces and other things because of MLBPA, but seriously face guards being locked?

Ya this is very frustrating. Pirates 3B Colin Moran does NOT wear a face guard in real life and I can’t remove it. He also does NOT wear a two ear flap helmet but he has it in the game and I can’t edit it either.

Some off the top of my head (no pics) that I have seen so far in Spring Training:

Mike Trout
Miguel Cabrera
Mike Zunino

will add more as I go....

Honestly, they should let us edit the chin guards on any player. Pretty ridiculous that this option is locked. I really would love an explanation as to why this is.

Also, with this game being as detailed as it is,and SDS knowing how dedicated to every detail this game entails and massive following of equipment junkies there are......why would they not give us full reign to edit?????????

This will suck for OSFM then if we have to wait for SCEA to add facemasks to players.

I REALLY hope that is a bug or something.

Yeah, this is really disappointing. I hope it was just an oversight since it's a new piece of equipment and they simply "forgot" to give us the option to edit this. So many players are using this now.

Is there an "equipment guy" from SDS that posts here? Maybe we can PM him and ask about this.
