In play view offense

I am constantly getting doubled off because I think it's in the gap then the cpu catches it and I'm rounding 2nd trying to get back to 1st. Any tips to better read the ball off the bat. I have been messing with the cameras but I feel anything but Dynamic breaks the immersion. What cameras do you guys use? ...and again any tips are much appreciated.

When using dynamic do you have ball trail on, it helps quite a bit in tracking the ball.
