Why does the one overhand cover like 1/3 of the octagon?

Anyone?

I'm confused about the reasoning behind it, is it to make up for reach issues or something?

I had a video but YouTube and my ps4 aren't getting along right now.

Im just as confused as you are alot of strikes seem like they cover way too much ground uppercut and the rear overhand are the worse.

The lead overhands range is fine?

Body straight after a jab is also ridiculous

If you plant to throw a jab you cant skate forward to throw the 2.

?

McGregor can do this in the game.

You can plant on your first strike and move on your second strike.

The head kick range while pressing forward is also a bit too much

What im saying is that it’s impossible to do in real life.

You cannot step into a jab and then magically transfer your weight and take another huge step for a 2.

Same applies to all strikes. If you hop in with a lead hook (planting with your lead foot) you shouldnt be able to take another hop to keep swinging with power. In real life you need your feet under you. If you want to cover distance and maintain power you’d take much smaller steps with each strike. That had a lot to do with why phonebooth meta exists.

And the way people commit to the hop in game you should be at an insane grapple disadvantage. That’s easy pickings for any grappler if you’re jumping into strikes
