These are just resolutions. It's like asking what is faster and showing pictures of 2 different sized tires standing still.

It depends on what's being rendered.

That being said, I prefer to work and game at higher resolutions where possible, but often not with significant compromises. Rocket League was unplayable on consoles at launch, because the frame rates were so poor relative to PC. Resolution didn't matter.

How much of a difference does HDR make on consoles vs. PC without HDR?

PC with 1440p at 165hz is the best I’ve seen

To be fair, I've never seen a game in 4k in person, but so much this. I can't imagine going back to 1080p or less than 165 hz. It hurts me to play NBA 2k18 at 60fps now because I have become so spoiled since upgrading my PC and monitor. I remember the days when I thought 30 fps was smooth, then I went to 60 and 30 became a bit of a pain. Now that I am used to my games being 100+ fps at 1440p I cannot handle 60fps for long periods of time without my head starting to hurt.

Depends on the game really. Slow moving games like RPGs or QTE type games like Detroit Become Human I will take the higher resolution. Sports games and fast moving games, I'll take the 1440p 144hz every time.
