Help.. is anybody playing ultimate team?

Really haven’t been playing this game so I decided to see if the game has improved I noticed ranked only has about 5000 players same O same O so I’m trying to get back into ultimate team which are used to love in UFC 2 however I just can’t seem to get into it is there something I’m missing?
The mode seems to tedious and I’m really trying to like it but maybe I’m just playing it wrong, i’m trying to squeeze the mode for everything it has it just doesn’t seem worth it any advice on how to approach it?
If not will this mode get any love in future patches?

Without trying to sound triggered..

UT this year is.. the cancer of the game.
It's harsh but damned if its not true.

They added 'real fighters' skins as a way to boost their card count by 250, which completely destroyed the one kinda cool aspect of It, building your own CAFs up as you went.

UT is about the only reason that Punch/Kick Speed/Power were combined.
To make the card balancing easier and remove an exploit that only applied to UT.

So in essence, UT this year not only said F*** you to whatever playerbase it had, but it also brought down the quality of the rest of the game.

If combing strike speeds and power makes balancing UT great, just don't make it so that ONE mode affects the NINE others.

I love these Devs so I tell myself "It was an EA suits idea" but hot damn I HATE it. I hate it. And I enjoyed UT in UFC2.

Don't forget when playing UT once you work your way up in the division you end up playing the same handful of people over and over and over because a) the player base is so low and b) the matchmaking system is silly.

Just... forget about this mode. Play offline with no hud. AI throws quite a punch.

Lol, at least in UFC 2 it was CAF VS CAF.

I mean I understand the thinking behind it, let them build up any fighter they want.

But in reality - ranked Conor x 20 times in a row. UT Conor x 20 times in a row - so much fun to play.

My main guy is Connor in Ultimate Team but thats because he was literally the best guy I had. I tried grinding it out for a few months, I wanted to build others fighters mainly my CAF but he was balls.

I gave up and I have no idea what the playerbase is like but from what I've read its not worth revisiting. Oh well, onwards and upwards.

Its frustrating because UT isn’t even remotely balanced anyway, so it was pointless.

UT in EA UFC 3 says a lot about how EA viewed their playerbase. I'm not lumping all the devs but the one's in charge of the decisionmaking for this. Basically, EA UFC 3's UT happened shortly after the Star Wars Battlefront 2 debacle that went mainstream regarding microtransactions. They never had time to change their ways, they were trying to monetize the heck out of everyone. it is clear that they were not interested at all in the playerbase and instead looked at us as cash bags, trying to liquidate any cent they can get.

Let me describe what a REAL UT looks like.

First, you can design your own fighter using a set of skill points (limited) and can modify height + reach. Each fight in UT gives you experience, which allows you to train what you specifically want to train, rather than a slot machine style. So you can train boxing and takedown defense, but naturally people who become very good at the clinch might still be your weakness. Each person will have weaknesses and strengths as a result.

You are limited into the max amount you can put into a character by your divison, so you can't have beast characters crushing low ranked guys. Microtransactions are limited to cosmetics, such as hair, tattoos, body types and skins (this is where you could have UFC fighter skins) and titles (some which can be earned in game). Lastly, there could be unique event tournaments where multiple cafs can compete to be number 1.

i play it a bit but its hard finding fights. as someone who only played UT inufc 2 this mode is terrible now. i never feel like i'm improving my fighter and i have piles and piles of unused junk cards, which is amazing considering the packs are half the size they used to be. How was this supposed to encourage us to spend money? there isn't hardly anything to do with your characters; no attribute upgrading, very limited slots, real fighter skins, its all been said. it sucks period

I fell in love with this mode in UFC 2 and abandoned traditional ranked bc I loved the grind to work towards something, as well as the entertainment of creating funny celeb fighters and seeing the crazy **** other people came up with for their CAF's.

They absolutely destroyed this mode in UFC 3, and have done zero to acknowledge the user base who has been entirely unified in their complaints, and have done zero to fix it.

Just take a look at the UT sub and you'll see. The UI is the worst (relative to the time) that I've ever seen, CAF's are not viable, and you fight the same 5* Conor 95% of the time. This hasn't even touched on the awful progression and general gameplay balancing.

I have serious latency/input delay issues with this game. Other than that, it's my favorite game ever, and I love how the dev's are acknowledging all the redonkulous, polarizing feedback and doing a great a job sifting through it and making actual improvements. That said, Ultimate Team is atrocious. Someone seriously should be held accountable. You'd really think that would be the case considering it's the real money mode.

I wonder if the devs have looked at the player count stats yet and realized nobody is playing this game mode and asked themselves why.I also wonder is it possible for them to change any of the aspects of this game mode in a patch or if they would even bother at this stage.

It seems like a complete waste of man power this year on this game mode when they could have used the time to better balance other aspects of the game such as ground or clinch.

I can attest to the low population of active players in UT on Xbox at least. It's painfully depressing to queue up 10 matches and play 2-3 matches against the same person in that span. Win or lose I don't want to play the same people over and over. I guess that's how it is when you have such a small number playing though.

I really liked the last version, I wonder if there is anyway Intertwine last version into this one?
I see they’re making a lot of patches but none to address UT mode, I think the can reformat this mode, like unlimited slots. question is are they willing to put in the work...
Despite UFC 2 UT having OP Fighters It didn’t mattered if I lost because if I did win after the fact I would check and notice they were a 100% attributes that would give me the satisfaction of the win... I love the way you would invest in your fighter day by day acquiring new moves and not losing any attributes I didn’t want to sound negative creating this post and I really gave it a chance but it’s godly awful.... I was just wondering if anyone was having success enjoying this mode because it’s just a hot mess and not fun at all for me,
Honest question for the developers is there any possible way to majorly tweak this game made at all?

Congratulations team... you pushed me away from any future MMA games :thumbs up:
