"This still looks like Madden 08"- Comment on IGN Youtube Review

Some really educated takes in the comments section.

Wow 8.90. I would give it a 8.4. Worth a purchase

Re: Madden NFL 19 Review (IGN/PS4)

My very very early impressions after three games played I would say this score is legit.

I feel like RPM changes the game so much for the positive. But it takes time to get used to. It is definitely a solid foundation.

It's a video game site comments section, the overwhelming majority of the people there are just there to troll and be obnoxious.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I really want to agree completely, but you know how they come out with new step technology every other year?

There's a reason. The CPU needs to be able to operate with it, and it's having ALL KINDS of trouble handling it. They need to spend a LOT of time tuning the CPU use of RPM and patch it ASAP.

I definitely know what you mean about changing the step stuff. They NEED to stick with RPM and adjust it as they go.

As far as the CPU having trouble with it, I didn't really see that much in the games I played. I got gashed with Bell and Kamara, and they did a pretty good job of hitting holes and running in daylight and not making funky moves so you can catch them.

Obviously it's an early sample size for me.

Curious,

DO you play with a strict no switch rule on defense? Also from the defensive camera?

I am a true believer in it is all the way you play vs the CPU that has a lot to do with everyones personal experiences.

On All-Pro the CPU simply can’t beat me if I switched on defense. On All Madden....it’s less of a factor but I don’t like All-Madden...feels and plays too arcady for me in terms of animations, and tackling and artificial ratings boosts. Just a personal preference after trying in vain to embrace All-Madden on 18.

If I played with the standard god camera on defense and switched.....the CPU would do jack vs me. Hence why I went to that strict no switch, and playing in the defensive camera (which is still IMO one of the very best features they ever made along with the ability to toggle the camera views not he fly).

RPM is a game changer. When I played the Beta I was so giddy about player movement and the physics of weight and momentum finally making it’s way into Madden.

Huge step in the right direction for gameplay.
