Cleveland used to have an nhl. But the didn’t because of money and merged with Minnesota in 1977. Then in 2000 Columbus got a team. In 2007 Cleveland got an ahl team. If Columbus got an nhl team there only major sport team and Cleveland has 3 major sport teams. #nhltocleveland

I’ve been to a number of BJ games and each time their beautiful rink was rocking.
I think CBus is a good, potentially great, hockey town.
They just need to have more playoff success. And IMO if they can develop a true star ala Scheifle or Seguin their fan base will only solidify.

Cleveland could land alot of russian players too. They have the highest slavic population in the US.

True. The original Cleveland Barons were known as the 7th best hockey team after original 6. They almost made it into the nhl but didn’t get in because of requirements that they didn’t have.
